After penciling titles like Dynamo 5, Supergirl, Shadowland: Power Man, and Wolverine and the X-Men, he was recently assigned art chores on Marvel’s All-New X-Men. Mahmud talks about growing up loving comics, art influences, working in the mainstream, and collaborating with writers like Jason Latour and Brian Michael Bendis.

So this is my indirect news out of San Diego Comic Con this year. I will be taking over art duties on the series as of issue #31. Excited to be working with Brian Michael Bendis full time. Fun times.

I just loved working on this being a fan of Sin City. I’ve always wanted to do some fan art about the comic so this was a legitimate reason for me to do one. I like how it ended up as well.

This one was a challenging one in terms of how I had to compose the relationships among the three characters seen on the image. It was a ton of fun to draw the horse there though. Was inspired by some Frazetta imagery for that.
